About Sean Lee
Sean Lee is a Forbes contributor, technology executive, and policy advisor based in Hong Kong, with deep experience across global infrastructure, digital assets, and financial systems. He began his career in large-scale infrastructure technology, working with financial institutions on Wall Street before relocating to Asia, giving him a balanced East–West perspective on how capital, regulation, and technology intersect. During this period, he focused on hyperscale data centers, cloud computing, and open-source technologies, managing multiple $100M+ global enterprise accounts and working closely with Michael Dell. In 2019, he entered the blockchain industry as the first CEO of the Algorand Foundation, leading the network to top-10 digital asset status with approximately $10B in market valuation and overseeing the largest on-chain governance vote at the time. He later moved into digital asset policy, serving as a senior advisor to the Crypto Council for Innovation and as APAC Policy Advisor to the Stablecoin Standard. Sean is currently the co-founder of Open Stable Network (OSN), focused on advancing blockchain finance and enabling Web2–Web3 integration across Hong Kong, the UAE, and key Belt and Road trade corridors.
